Drumroll, Please……

When 275 of us (our biggest turn out yet!) gathered together on Saturday night to create awareness and raise money in support of YouthCare and WPIG of Seattle, not only did we have a great time, but we also created the most successful event in WPIG history. What a great milestone for our 5th Annual PIGture Perfect Art and Silent Auction.

Together, we raised over $31,000* in support of YouthCare’s Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing for children under 18 years of age, and WPIG’s future work supporting women and children. We also brought in over 57 various supplies for YouthCare’s Cold Weather Drive. Wow!

YouthCare DriveYouthCare’s Transitional Housing and Emergency Shelter program  offers the chance to forge new, constructive relationships. It’s a place to learn to live with peers in a stable setting. This program will continue to grow and positively impact countless youth because of your support.

In closing, here are a few words from YouthCare’s Director of Development and Communications and PIGture Perfect’s keynote speaker, Jody Waits.

“YouthCare is so incredibly grateful and honored to have been the WPIG charitable partner this year! WPIG is an inspiring example of what happens when passionate and smart women work together to bring change to our community. Every year, YouthCare serves more than 1,300 homeless youth and youth adults; WPIG’s support of our mission helps us to support even more young people as they move off the streets and prepare for life. We are humbled by this generosity – thank you!”

On behalf of all of us at WPIG, thank you.
