Volunteering at Food Lifeline!!
This week, a group of 6 WPIG members met at Seattle’s Food Lifeline warehouse to repackage donated food for distribution to Western Washington’s many food banks. In two hours, our members repackaged 600 lbs of food, providing 500 meals to families in need. Founded in 1979, Food Lifeline provides 82,000 meals per day to local food assistance programs and works to create a sustainable approach to ending hunger through outreach, policy work and advocacy.
